The beds were comfy, the decor calming and the heating and blankets were all more than adequate. Lovely little bathroom and kitchen too.

My only problem was that we arrived at after 6pm, and I didn't realise that I had to do a whole registration thing to obtain the code for the lockbox, containing the key. I have never had to do this before with booking.com. Booking.com always took care of everything. It was freezing, pitch black outside and we were tired. I had to ring the number and talk to what appeared to be maybe an overseas person to work out what to do about registration. However, once inside, all was forgotten.

No wifi, did make it difficult, communication, once we were there wasn’t possible, couldn’t use the QR code provided, didn’t see email communication until we had left

We all loved the cosy atmosphere with the wood fireplace. Some books and board games and lots of dvd provided. Aircon heaters were a great help in the winter. Beds were comfortable. Hosts were responsive.

Stove was woodfire and the pieces of wood provided were too big to use. Would be useful to have an electric/gas stove. Bathroom toiletries were half used and insufficient for number of guests. Bedsheet and pillowcases did not smell like they had been washed. It would be good to provided clothes dryer machine besides the washing machine in winter. Also would be helpful to provide instructions on how to set up the dvd.
