Unit G at the Genesis Retreat features a well-equipped, full kitchen, a dining area with seating for six, and a bright and very comfortable living area with a large, flatscreen TV. The Genesis Retreat features a sparkling, shared swimming pool, as well as a shared gas grill, and a covered outdoor dining area. The living room has a sleeper sofa. Location: The Genesis Retreat Unit G condo is centrally located only 2 blocks away from the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier and the Seawall Beach. It is right on the famous Rosenberg Street (aka 25th Street) which places you front row and center to the parades and other Mardi Gras festivities in February. While there are local shops and convenience stores close by, hop aboard the local trolley to get you around the city where you'll find amazing shops, phenomenal restaurants, and plenty of entertainment options! Plus Schlitterbahn Waterpark and Moody Gardens are also a short drive away for all ages fun and excitement. FAQs: Parking: There is parking on the street outside of the building for one vehicle. The condo is as advertised, nice, and comfortable. The pool is so nice, four feet deep, and can be popular. The Saturday we were there had a very crowded pool into the evening and we didn’t find space until 8-ish. Come Sunday, the pool was very available. Despite the pool popularity, no one in our group heard any annoyance. This place is on the trolley route and you will hear its whistle starting around 9-ish. Noticeable, but not bothersome. Communication with management was strange at first, but they took care of us us and I understand they just started managing this property. There was garage access when we were there and utilized.
