I cannot recommend this property enough. The multi layered vast gardens, warm pool, with lights for night swimming and cover if it rains. The house itself had everything you could need. The hosts were fabulous, with lots of local information and extremely kind and friendly❤️. We have a 10 and 12 year old and they loved it. Also so close to Porto but is completely in the countryside for peace and quiet. Close to a number of beautiful river beaches and gorgeous restaurants. About 40 mins from a waterpark set in the mountains, stunning. Ubers and buses makes everything accessible but would recommend a car to make things easier.

Nuestra estancia en Quinta da Xistosa fue simplemente perfecta. La casa es preciosa, muy cuidada, limpia y equipada con todo lo necesario para disfrutar de unos días con amigos. El entorno es tranquilo y espectacular, ideal para desconectar.
Lo mejor, sin duda, fueron los anfitriones. Nos hicieron sentir como en casa desde el primer momento, fueron increíblemente amables, atentos y siempre dispuestos a ayudarnos con cualquier cosa. Se nota que ponen mucho cariño en que los huéspedes tengan la mejor experiencia posible.
Pasamos un fin de semana inolvidable y nos fuimos con ganas de volver. Sin ninguna duda, es un alojamiento que recomendaría al 100 %. ¡Muchas gracias por todo!

Great little property on a vast terraced site overlooking the river. Well furnished, full cooker/oven and large fridge/freezer. Three AC units (both bedrooms and central area) - needed in recent heatwave. Easy to find and in good location a few moles from the motorway but not too far from Porto. The pool was a revalidation - so large and warm with removable covers to keep clean and warm (in the heatwave too hot when it hit over 39°C water temp). Finally, the owners: could not have been more welcoming or friendly. Gave some local information, in touch to check all was OK or if needed anything, and so much more! Even came to see us off at 5 in the morning as our flights were from Lisbon. We are already considering going back! Says it all, and we are fussy and critical.
This will be much shortet than our likes! The foundary factory below/over the road spoils the view a little bit but was probably there before the villa. The road is busy at the weekend with pedal and motor bikes as it's a great ride up the valley! The entrance and car access is quite tight/tricky - we had no problems in our 11 days but one could see you could.
