Staff, room and environment were exceptional. The general area was characterful and a great place for our stay
Only a couple of very minor niggles. They were unable to fix the TV while we were there. Lights from the courtyard were quite intrusive at night when trying to sleep

Die Lage am Creek, im wirklich alten liebevoll gestalteten Gebäude. Voller Gegensatz zu den supermodernen Hotels.
Alles war für uns stimmig, die Zimmer, hohe Decken, gutes Bett, das Frühstück sehr typisch, das freundliche Personal, das tolle Fischrestaurant in dem auch unsere vegetarischen Freunde gut bedient waren. Einfach wunderbar und passend.

Super concept, Dubai needs more boutique hotels. Nice style, it changes from the usual Dubai hotel.
Photos do not show the actual place, it is another building, with ongoing work, that is not as nice as the one on photos. Contrary to the description the "Junior Suite" is not located on ground floor level and does not have a garden view (there's no view).
Rooms have not been built to stand the heat: single-glazed windows and old wooden doors let the heat come in so the old noisy AC is struggling to lower the temperature. There is no cold water in the bathroom.
Location is great in the old Dubai but cars cannot reach the hotel making taxi drop off and pick up difficult. Even more so when you have to walk and wait under the scorching heat without any shaded areas.
