Beautiful location. The lakes were excellent and the location around the lake was good. BBQ was fab! Lots for the children to do. Lovely relaxing home for a week. Everything we needed was there.
The creaky floor boards upstairs woke everyone up most nights, they are wry noisy. It was quite dusty in places,

Great location on the lake and the house was perfect, clean and well equipped. Walking distance to the lake next door where you can hire paddle boards, sailboats, kayaks etc by the hour, also a lovely coffee shop there (the lodge) also spent a lovely evening at The Hangout (on the De Vere hotel site opposite windrush lakes) under the festoon lights as the sun went down and a DJ playing some great tunes, eating fresh wood fire cooked pizza and donuts. Ten minutes drive to the Country Park & beach too.
Hadn't realised you could paddle board and Kayak on the lake the property was on, lots of people doing so. Unfortunately, no equipment provided for visitor use at this property so felt like we'd missed out. If you have your own - definitely bring it to save a fortune renting by the hour on the other lakes.
