The house apartment and building were beautiful, good location close to the station and a view of the river which was very nice. The bed and couch were comfortable and having the washing machine was extremely handy.
Firstly the lack and long response time from the host was very frustrating. A generic message was sent before our check in to ask what time we were expected, I sent five messages to that one to let them know and ask for an earlier check in as we arrived around 1pm in Florence (also noting that a 4pm check in time is very late). I did not get a response until after we checked in at 4, and it was just a generic messages, only when I responded again did I get an actual reply from someone and they did ignore all my previous messages. I had no problem with the check in but it was frustrating to hear no response for a long period of time. The tap water was also undrinkable, we also let the host know who said to let it run which we did. But it tasted like chlorine and had a very bad smell, so over our 5 day stay we had to buy many bottles of water which also frustrating as that’s just funds wasted when we could have been drinking tap.
I also did request a later check out which also went unanswered. Inside the apartment there is a sign that says people are available for help from 10-10 this was certainly not my experience. And when calling the number listed it was an automated message in Italian with no option for help in English. Which I can understand but when running a guest house in a central tourist location an English option certainly would have been helpful.
There was also no TV, nor full length mirror which of course while not deal breakers would have just been nice additions.
All in all I would not stay again and would recommend others just to consider these points before booking.

Spectacular property in tallest historic tower in downtown Florence. Beautifully appointed rooms, with great attention to detail.
The price is too high, but I guess supply-demand determines this...

Central location. Easy to get around and close to restaurants and shops. The apartment was very comfortable and clean. Checking in and out was easy.
