The staff were wonderful. The hotel appears to be family run and the older staff were both charming and helpful. The location is good with a variety of buses available within a 10 minute walk. I did not take the meals option, so a Wetherspoons, again just a 10 minute walk away was very convenient.
There was nothing that I did not like.

This is a basic hotel with few facilities, but it provided a small bedroom for two nights at a reasonable price. The room was clean, the water was hot and the TV worked. The member of staff on reception when I arrived was pleasant and showed me to my room. I didn't see any staff after that. Checkout was online.
The outside of the hotel looks dilapidated, with shingles missing and the flags in tatters. I note that the photo on the website is taken at night when less of these flaws are visible.
