This was a beautifully designed, light and spacious apartment. It had everything we needed including a washing machine, iron and ironing board, information on Bologna, a nice internal terrace to sit outside, a full equipped kitchen, big fridge etc. The bed was comfortable, the aircon worked well and there was lots of wardbrobe space. Really - having stayed in another apartment in Bologna and spent time looking into it, it was a notch above the others, really lovely. Also, in a great location in the centre, 12-15 minutes walk from the Central Square, 2 supermarkets close by, some nice restaurants and the Pasticceria d'Azeglio next door.
Communication was in Italian and not English. I know - it is Italy but just something to be aware of. Google translate helped a lot :) We had an issue with one of our keys when we arrived. There is a knack to opening the main door and in the end we asked a resident going in the building to help us, and once we knew it was easy. However, if you arrive late and can't figure it out, it can be stressful. The lady I spoke to was helpful and also spoke French which I do and that helped. Still giving it a 10 as the apartment was really lovely.

La Terrazza is a great place to stay in Bologna. It's in a fantastic location just a short walk from all the main sites in the old town, it also has an exceptionally good gelato place a few doors down and a supermarket conveniently located across the street. The apartment is really comfortable and furnished to a high standard, especially the mattress which felt like an expensive memory foam one. We enjoyed going out in the day and buying lovely fresh pasta and cooking it in the evening in the well equipped kitchen. The terrace is a real bonus and great place to enjoy coffee in the morning and an aperitivo in the evening. Elena is a lovely and friendly host and always responds quickly to messages.
