We can fully understand why this property receives such positive reviews. The location is fantastic: right in the heart of Ortigia, with everything within walking distance, yet still a comfortable and quiet place to retreat to after a busy day exploring. There is also a very convenient small supermarket nearby on Via Cavour.
We stayed in Apartment 3 and found it exactly as described. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The apartment is located on the second floor and shares a central hallway with two other apartments owned by the same hosts. Despite all apartments being occupied during our stay, we hardly noticed the other guests and found the building pleasantly quiet.
The terrace, accessed via an external staircase, is a cosy spot to relax. One thing future guests may wish to know is that it is only lit by a few small solar lights. We found it perfectly pleasant during the day, but a little too dark to comfortably enjoy after sunset.
One of the things we appreciated most was how easy it was to explore Ortigia entirely on foot. In the evenings, it was wonderful to wander through the historic streets, stop for a drink or dinner, and be back at the apartment within minutes. The location is also convenient for both Cala Rossa and the beach at Forte Vigliena. In addition, there is a local bus stop very close by with connections to the bus terminal and train station.
We had a wonderful stay and would happily choose Anacreonte Apartments again on a future visit to Ortigia and Syracuse.

The apparent is big and it is good for maximum of 2 people… the location is almost perfect…
The apartments are maybe 3! Our has problem with the bed - the mattress was awful… the water flow rate was terrible and the water in the toilet didn’t stop! Also we were 7 days and only they give us one extra set of towels! No cleaning! Parking is so faraway and it is ZTL zone!
