Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, our spacious mountain home, Red Star Lodge, is your home away from home. Red Star Lodge is only 15 minutes from Helen and 90 minutes from Atlanta, secluded but close to everything. Enjoy the hustle and bustle of town, or visit the many wineries in the area. Relax with friends and family in a mountain retreat that is modern but rustic, spacious but cozy. The cook's kitchen seats 10 for those nights you want to stay in and the firepit area features a large gas grill. The house also sleeps up to 10. The two master suites have ensuite bathrooms. The loft master suite has a queen bed, an LCD TV, a private balcony, a whirlpool tub and separate shower. The main floor master features a king bed and wall mounted LCD TV with a full bath and laundry room. The lower level bedroom has two queen beds and the living area features a queen sleeper sofa. A full bath services the lower level. All bathrooms have upgraded amenities provided. The two great rooms on both floors feature floor to ceiling gas log fireplaces and LCD TVs. The lower level great room has a kitchenette with bar seating and a dining table. The game room features arcade and tabletop games, with PacMan, ping pong, air hockey and more. Enjoy the 6 person hot tub and watch the deer gather on the lawn below. Hi speed WiFi throughout the house keeps you connected. Visit https://helenga.org/ to see many things to do nearby. Our family loved everything about this home. It feels like you are staying at your sister’s only she’s gone shopping. The owners thoughtfully had a Christmas tree and other holiday decor out for our week after Christmas stay. It is beautifully decorated. Starter staples were provided. The space is open and functional too. View is pretty in the winter. Gorgeous December sunsets. Two stone gas fireplaces! Game room with complete kitchen downstairs, same floor as hot tub. Bedroom with 2 full beds. Game room couch is sleeper sofa. Top bedroom is a loft. Middle floor bedroom is a king. Full bathroom on every floor. I really love this house. Close to Helen, less than hour to 2 different state parks. Plenty of hiking opportunities. The driveway is steep. We had no issues with it but we had no snow nor ice. The roads were in good condition and we can no problems in our minivan. We did see deer.
This home is just as listed, well cared for with many extra touches. The owners definitely went above & beyond for us to enjoy our week together.

I did put a 4 star rating on accuracy of description. This is bc in the brief overview it says 4 bedrooms. I will take equal responsibility that i overlooked that they were considering the open living area with the sofa bed.
But overall we all absolutely loved the space and location of the cabin.
Gorgeous views and sweet little accents and amenities, especially for the holidays.
Owners/manager was super comunicative and friendly!
Would highly recommend!

There was so much to entertain the whole family at the cabin. The kids enjoyed the air hockey table, ping pong and the hot tub. The owners thought of everything down to beach towels to use after enjoying the hot tub. We hope to go back soon!!

After a lot of research, I booked this cabin and it exceeded my expectations. We have stayed at many VRBO rentals in TN but decided to try GA this time. I was sure that this cabin could not compare to our favorite but I was wrong. The cabin was well appointed which is very important to my family as we had planned on cooking Thanksgiving dinner and other evening meals at the location. From paper products and spices to the hand mixer, this place had it all. They even had shampoo, conditioner and body soap in all the facilities. The hot tub was the hidden gem after a day at Dollywood. We enjoyed the grill and outdoor firepit as well as the game room. We tend to be an over competitive family so many laughs (and a few dollars) were shared over air hockey and UNO at the large dining table. It was nice that all of us fit at the table but the counter stools were nice for the kids to enjoy breakfast. Helen was cute and very busy. Enjoyed checking out the Old Sautee Store and surrounding establishments. The new owner was amazing!!!! We were the first guests to visit the cabin after transfer of ownership and they could not have been more invested in ensuring our vacation was a success. This family vacation was a success and is ensuring new memories for our newest generation and some new one for our oldest. Thank you, Christie, for sharing your home with us!

Our party, six adults, four young children, and a dog, had a wonderful long weekend. Well appointed, neat and clean, with a fun game room, fire pit, and hot tub, this was a great place to have our family gather. Plenty of outdoors things to do nearby. Highly recommend it!

Excellent location and close to many great hiking trails. Quiet area but only a 10 - 15 minute drive from Helen. The place is bigger than it looks in the photos and it was well equipped with everything we could have wanted. Our family really enjoyed the gameroom. There are a few things that could use some general repair work or just some TLC, but nothing that impacted our stay.

Red Star has become our go to getaway for a quick recharge in the mountains. Always clean, quiet, and roomy! Hosts are nice and communication is great!

We stayed 2 nights with friends in February, 2023. The house is very roomy with each couple having their own bedroom and bath. The views were beautiful and the weather was great for February. We skipped the tourist stuff and were content to spend our time together looking at the scenery.
The owners were very prompt to respond to our questions and we had no issues that required their attention.

Great open space for a family or friends. My sister used the basement kitchen area to make the wedding cake for my daughter’s wedding. It worked out perfectly.

Really enjoyed staying at the Red Star Lodge. Very nice and pretty secluded location. We were able to spend family time together roasting marshmallows and playing in the game room. I did notice that the lower level could use some new paint and had a few damages but I guess that could be expected due to it being a gaming area. Overall it was very nice and we would visit again. Not too far from Helen, but far enough to be away from the busy life. Thank you for having us

We needed a place to enjoy Helen and Yonah for a few days without the commercial hotel experience and this was perfect! Great location. The spacious kitchen was a bonus for our group. We have stayed at many VRBO places and would return to this one: clean, spacious, great location, easy access, many amenities.

This property is beautiful and is exactly as pictured in the listing! It well accommodated our family of 5 adults and 3 children. They loved the game room and we loved the well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds and jacuzzi! The owners were immediately responsive to all our questions. There are so many wonderful places to visit all within a 30-minute drive! Local wildlife sightings of deer, many bird varieties, butterflies and even hummingbirds! We made wonderful lifetime memories at the Red Star Lodge!

Our family and guests loved their stay at this property. They played games every night, enjoyed the hot tub, and the warmth of the decor. Cooking was easy with the materials on hand and a short drive to local attractions. It was very much a family friendly property for our children who are in their teens and twenties.

All had fun, the property was spacious and clean. kitchen equipment such as spices, a crockpot, pots and pan, plates, bowls and silverware. Eben extra paper towels and toilet tissue!! Everything you could need in a kitchen! The laundry facility was phenomenal too. The largest washer and dryer I’ve ever seen. Along with detergent. Not one thing was missing. The best time we’ve had. Will definitely keep as a to go hopefully next year.

The setting was amazing. We all had coffee outside on the main deck every morning with a beautiful view. The same view from the main living area through floor to ceiling windows. Each of the 3 families had their own bathroom (one on each level). Since we were there for a family wedding, we had room to entertain several other families and the cousins loved the game room and the hot tub! We had the wooded seclusion we wanted, but were minutes away from Helen and a few other towns which had lots to choose from for exploration, shopping and food. Our host was amazing and prompt at answering questions and helping out with a couple of accomodations. If only we had had more time!!

We were very happy with this property. The space was even larger than the photos seemed to show. We had room for 9 in our family. The Kitchen was large and well equipped to make an Easter dinner. The basement was a hit for the multiple game tables. The hot tub was a small 4 person but we used it almost every day. We also had our 2 dogs and got some great exercise walking them because the driveway is super steep. Location was great and close to Helen for restaurants and shopping. The neighbor hood is ok it is mostly secluded. The closest house is buffered by trees and that adds some privacy. The view is very nice.
The upper deck railing is loose so we did not let the grandkids play. The deck needs a lot of TLC. We think the railing needs replacement. We called and the owner plans to have it inspected.
Over all we really enjoyed our week here and would love a chance to stay again. We do recommend this large home for any group getaway.

This was a beautiful property and we all enjoyed our stay very much. The place is well taken care of, lots of amenities, plenty of space/chairs/tables for everyone. Very quiet and private area; the stars are so bright because you don't have town lights/smog obscuring them! There was a mix up with the cleaning crew not having the cabin on the roster for our check in date, so the property wasn't clean when we arrived. I immediately reached out to the owners about it and they took care of it - got the cleaning crew out there ASAP and they got everything cleaned up to our satisfaction. The owners also refunded us a very satisfactory amount for the inconvenience of it not being ready and of having the cleaning crew there cleaning while we were eating our dinner! It was an inconvenience, but the owners corrected the situation and I appreciate how responsive they were - not just with the crew, but with the refund. I would definitely recommend the Red Star Lodge and we are already talking about coming back!

We had a week of pure bliss 😊 this place keeps everyone happy ... we have 6 kids from 2 to 15 in age and all of them had a blast ! The hot tub is amazing also! The loft has the best bathroom! I would recommend this home 100%

Just what we were looking for! Everything was as described. Instructions were very clear. Communication was prompt and friendly. Location is perfect, Helen just minutes away. And Dollar General down the street has all the essentials. Kids loved the place!

First of all, the property itself is extremely beautiful. It looks just like the photos. Almost everything needed is in the cabin itself. However, the sheets smelled like someone who hadn't washed their hair in a while and you could visibly see stains on the bed skirts surrounding the sheets. The smell was overwhelming and much different from a dusty smell you would typically get from a vacant house. The hand towels were filthy and you could tell they had been used. This is confusing because the instructions say to strip sheets and do all of this cleaning, that wasn't done before you got there. Especially because the owner said someone else was checking out the day we checked in. Also, check out is at 10 and we didn't have time to go through the entire house and clean it before the "cleaning crew" cleaned it, so it was very stressful during check out and almost felt like we didn't vacation at all. The property is very VERY secluded and you will need a truck to get passed the construction that's being done on the way up to the drive way. Other than that, the view is amazing it felt very warm and would be perfect for the holidays, just be weary of the drive for a grocery store :)

Visited with my family for the end of the year. Arrived on Christmas Day to find a pretty tree up and decorated family area. The cabin is very spacious and has all the commodities you may need. Fully equipped kitchen with plenty of counter and seating space, large family room with nice tv area and comfy couch, and the gaming area ( basement) was perfect for our three kids ages 8-12.
The cabin was very centrally located, close to just about everything you’d want to do in this area. Nice comfy beds and sheets.
We thoroughly enjoy our time at the lodge and can’t wait to return!!!!

We had the most amazing time at this property. We used the fire pit outdoors, watched TV together on the huge couch, enjoyed the game room. We walked around the cute neighborhood and drove to Helen, which was very close. This property exceeded our expectations in every way.

Cabin was everything and more. Beds comfy and kitchen fully equipped. We were a family of 10, so really appreciated the kitchen as we cooked most of our meals. Celebrated Thanksgiving and will definitely go down as a wonderful memory.
