As riders passing thru the area on the C&O towpath this location was ideal for a single overnight. The farmhouse was very clean and well maintained and had all the amenities that we needed.

Had a fantastic time at this lovely home! Spent time chilling on the porches and out biking on the WMRT which is just a short ride away. Rented bikes at C&O for the weekend and even with the heat had a very pleasant 30 mi ride under the trees. Had really good pizza with a homemade crust and fresh mozzarella from Crust and truly one of the best breakfast meals (although all their lunch items looked good - I had a hard time deciding) at Proof on Washington. Went to the farmers market in Berkeley Springs and had a Roman bath which was perfect after the few days of biking. The home had way more than we needed as a couple but enjoyed having so much space. I would highly recommend!

Large and beautiful home. Some information needed updated (wi-fi code) but just minor inconveniences. Rested well and got back on the C&O the next day.

Spent over an hour trying to get a hold of the host trying to get into the property in winter. We messaged through the app and called. Left two voicemails and then the host sent our calls to voicemail twice. I then texted the number and she responded and finally called. Unapologetic on the phone. We had spent 40 minutes with VRBO chat trying to see what we can do. In the mean time we went out for dinner, but it definitely made the trip unnecessarily stressful. We wanted to change clothes before dinner (went to a very nice restaurant for a special occasion) and had to go in sweats. They state that they keep the house cold. It was set at 60, so it would have been nice to have been able to heat up the house. It would be nice if they said the location of the thermostat (upstairs, master bedroom). No hand towels or wash cloths. Place itself was fine. Would recommend improving instructions to get in if you are not going to be responsive. There are three entrances and they state there is a code to get in. There is a lockbox with a key, but that is not what they want you to use. There was another key pad that didn’t light up attached to another door. Took multiple tries to get in that one as it wouldn’t light up and would flash random numbers. So clear instructions would be helpful. If they want to keep the thermostat that low (60 in winter) when there aren’t guests, maybe get one you can operate remotely so it’s not freezing. Neighborhood was derelict looking. Would not recommend.
