We spent a wonderful weekend here together, and from the moment we arrived, we knew we had chosen the right place. The location is fantastic — right in the historic harbor of Urk, with a beautiful view of the water and boats from the living room.
The apartment itself is something special. It is located in a beautiful old historic building, which a skilled designer has completely and very tastefully restored. Everything inside feels brand new, while the original building's character has been wonderfully preserved.
The modern kitchen is exceptionally well equipped — you really have everything you could need. The bathroom feels like a five-star hotel, with a toilet, bathtub, and wonderful rain shower. The automatic heating and ventilation system works perfectly, and the air conditioning in the main bedroom was a real bonus.
And the beds deserve a special mention! They were so comfortable that we slept like children and woke up so late that we almost missed check-out!
The living room is equally inviting, with very comfortable sofas and chairs and, best of all, that fantastic large view over the harbor. It is the kind of place where you can simply sit, relax, and watch the world go by.
We missed only two small things: a large-screen TV would have been a nice addition, and we couldn't find any salt and pepper in the kitchen.
Apart from these very minor points, everything was excellent. Beautifully restored, extremely comfortable, exceptionally well equipped, and in a truly wonderful location.
We would happily come back — and that is probably the best compliment we can give.
