This place was clearly once a splendid home - decked in marble, exquisite tiles and beautiful carved wood but now, sadly, in desperate need of renovation or a lick of paint at the very least.
The staff are friendly and breakfast nice. The pool area is pleasant. During the day, with sun streaming through the coloured glass, you can really feel the potential of this old building, but at night it has a feel of the hotel from The Shining.
As a quick fix, get rid of the amateur art that adorns the corridors, swap all the cold white lighting for warm, add lamps in the indoor lounges, and paint the walls. It must be decades since a tin of emulsion has visited Nomadz Palace.
