The plan was to stay one night, it became 3 😉 Niaz (the hostel owner) and his family are very nice people and helped us with everything we wanted to know. The organisation of activities was also really good. Thanks a lot Niaz!

A good hostel in Fort Kochi, directly opposite the Ernakulam-Fort Kochi ferry port and only 5-10 minutes walk to the main areas of Fort Kochi. The hostel is clean and the shared dorms all had private plug sockets and lights. The room top is a great place to relax away from the heat and the hustle of Kochi. The owner is super friendly and very knowledgeable about Kochi and the surrounding areas and was able to give advice for onward travel. There is also a washing machine that you can use which is included in the price of the room!

Dorm is a little cramped for space where there are 6 people in the room. But nothing too unusual for a dorm.

Nos facilitó tantas cosas en nuestra estancia que decidimos quedarnos más días en su casa. Excelente anfitrión, amable, eficiente, buena persona. Nos llevamos un gran recuerdo de esos días.

Probably one of the best hostel experiences I’ve had so far. Coming here feels like coming to a home. The owner is just an absolutely incredible person who will make sure you have the best stay depending on your desires and he will be able to help you with pretty much anything! He brought me coffee every morning and was continuously making sure I was having a good time. I was there during my birthday and I couldn’t have felt more taken care of. The owner had bought a beautiful cake and made the other guests come sing for me together with himself and his family, as well as having a birthday dinner at a restaurant together with everyone in the evening. A friend of him who was also staying at the hostel cooked an amazing lunch for us. Can’t even describe how grateful I was for all the celebrations and him being so considerate! The location is great, near the main streets as well as the ferry. Facilities are new and fresh with nice A/C in the rooms. Comfy bed and pillows. Nice kitchen and common area and it has a rooftop where one can do yoga, meditate, dance (there’s a speaker even), or just chill with other people in the couches. The owner also knows all the best tips and tricks around the area, as well as of Kerala, and will be happy to share! He even helped me figure out my continuing travels over the phone after I had left the hostel! Very happy I came here.

I have nothing negative to say. Simply loved it all.

Nais is such a kind, helpful host. His passion for hosting really shines through, we felt completely at ease staying there for 3 nights, he gave great tips and helped arrange things, and we enjoyed our conversations with him. The hostel is clean, close to the hustle and bustle of Fort Kochi but also quiet. I love the "shoes off" approach - the hostel is a shoe-free zone. It keeps it clean and make it feel homely. Mattress was comfortable.

The hostel will fully "come alive" when the rooftop area is finished so that there is a big shared space to hang out. Otherwise, v minor things (e.g the road outside is a bit dusty as it is being worked on, this won't be an issue soon)

Owner is very kindly and friendly guy. Everyday he gave me orange. Close to jetty. Very clean. There is a AC for Dom room. We can use fridge and shared kitchen.

A very chilled homely place. It is where I have felt most at home during my time in India. The owner is a great guy who cares for his guests. 10/10

This is a new hostel and seeing the energy that Niaz, the owner is putting into making it a vibe is so awesome! He’s a friendly guy and took me out for breakfast when I arrived and offered iced teas to anyone around in the heat of the day. It’s clean, comfortable and I met nice people there. Great value and in a fairly quiet spot of Fort Kochi, but still easy to get around. My favourite part of the hostel is the roof top. So much space and it’s shaded/great to chill there, practise yoga or dance. Thanks so much for making my stay in Fort Kochi great! Will be fun to revisit someday and see how it evolves :)

全てが良かった、コチに来る前にチェンナイとマドゥライのシングルルームに泊まったが衛生面を含めてとにかく酷かった。ここに来て初めて安心して宿泊できた、冷房は２４時間起動可能、トイレもシャワーもとても綺麗、キッチンがある為自炊可能。オーナーはとても親切でフレンドリー他の宿泊客ともオーナーが提案してくれた食事会で仲良くなれてとてもいい時間を過ごすことが出来た。

It's been five days of vacation for me, and the chill home meets my expectations for a single room. In addition to having free wifi, a clean and well-maintained bathroom, a pleasant bed, and air conditioning, the accommodation is conveniently close to a boat station, a seagull resto bar, an Aryas Veg restaurant, and other nearby attractions. The property manager is excellent and readily available at all times in case we require any assistance. Continue to reserve cozy homes and unwind with your travel companions.

I really liked the lobby, where people could gather around and have a chat..The place was very friendly, and I felt at home.

It didn't have an outside space!

The Chilli House is one of those properties that gives Fort Kuching its charm and attracts new tourists. Inexpensive accommodation, beautiful interior, small details - everything is thought out to the smallest detail by the owner. The owner, Niaz, is an intelligent and compassionate person who loves his business, so he is very kind and attentive to every guest. The Chilli House has both private rooms and a hostel, is very clean, has a kitchen, automatic washing machine, AC, chill-out space, strategic location (just 1 km from the embankment, next to a 14th century mosque) - and a very kind atmosphere. I haven't left yet, but I already want to come back.

Chill House is new, very clean & well finished. The beds are excellent, and there is AC in the dorm room too.

Access to kitchen and utensils was provided, which make us feel a homestay. Location embarks close to ferry as well to tourist points. Owner welcomes us even at 2:00 am, and courteous in all the manner. The plot is newly furnished with all basic necessities.

In a nutshell, the owner provided all facilities with security. So, there was no elbow grease for anything.
