David and his wife were so lovely, they welcomed us with a glass of wine for Chinese New Year, and fresh picked apricots. Great communication pre-booking, and they were very thorough and went through everything at the property when we arrived; they even politely knocked on our door to show us the beautiful sunset! Their garden is spectacular and it's so quiet staying on that side of the lake. My husband speaks Chinese and they were overjoyed to speak in their native tongue.

The hosts were super friendly and welcoming. When we arrived in Queenstown, we had an unexpected situation and they kindly picked us up from the airport, which was really appreciated. They also gave us lots of great tips on things to do and places to eat when they found out we didn’t have any plans.
The room was very clean, the bed was really comfortable, and there was a lovely garden right outside.
One small thing to note is that, compared to staying in the town centre, you need to take a ferry to get into Queenstown each day. It’s very easy and convenient, but it costs NZD 14 per trip. On the bright side, the area is quiet, peaceful, and beautiful, which made the stay very relaxing.

This was a lovely property and the hosts were very hospitable and even made us breakfast. The room was warm, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and well presented. In addition there was a lounge overlooking Lake Wakatipu, with wonderful views.
