About this cottage rental
Detached 15th-century house with a few steps: living room with kitchenette (combination microwave/oven), shower room with toilet (towels provided). Upstairs: landing bedroom (double bed 160 x 200 cm, can be separated into two single beds). Adjoining room opening onto the garden with dining tables and armchairs. Electric heating included. Shared laundry room. Landscaped garden with trees and flowers, and shared parking with the owner. Private recreational fishing pond with wood and picnic tables 1 km away (accessible on request). Farm birds on the property and at the pond. Formerly the village's cooking area until the Hundred Years' War, the cottage is perfect for a couple, possibly with a young child. The garden is magnificent, designed by Claude Serais, with various secluded areas. Located in the heart of the village, your host will be delighted to share the history of La Carneille with you, perhaps through a historical hike, passing by its historic woods and fishing pond... and you'll likely end the evening with a friendly game of Russian billiards! A farmers' market is held in the village on the first Sunday of each month. An art exhibition, "La Cavée des Artistes," takes place in the garden every first weekend of July.
