Great value money and near enough to get food and drink

Situated 10min walk from Ulveston station. Everything you need for 2 on a short break. Warm and well equipped.

An amazing stay in a beautiful, cosy cottage, we loved every minute and would happily return!

We absolutely loved our stay. The cottage is beautiful, cosy and full of character, with stylish decor and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location in the heart of Ulverston was perfect for exploring the town, and the property felt like a real home away from home. We especially loved the relaxing atmosphere and the thoughtful touches throughout.

There honestly wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property. We had a fantastic stay and everything was just as we hoped.

Dust, dirt and damage, oh my!

Very central to the town of Ulverston.

The house was very dusty especially under the bed, including a dirty sock covered in dust under the drawers. There was rubbish left in the back garden on arrival, we were unable to use the garden as the grass and bushes were very overgrown, this was only trimmed on our last day (this was not communicated to us and seemed the property was accessed while we were out). Several half used foodstuffs were left in the kitchen/cupboards when we arrived. The car parking could have been described better as the access was very narrow, very uneven and on a slope which wouldn't be ideal for larger vehicles. The property had black scuff marks on many of the walls. The shower head was covered in black grime. The property lacked some basic amenities such as hand wash soap, was also advertised as having tea / coffee facilities however this was just a kettle. We were asked to pay a non-refundable damage waiver once we booked the property, whilst we understand the need to protect against damage this should have been communicated better prior to booking. When booking we did book non-refundable however when an emergency came up interfering with our plans the host was very unhelpful, whilst we did understand we paid non-refundable he didn't express to us about being able to change the dates which thankfully was explained on booking.com policy pages, poor attitude though from the host.
