Everything about Hélios apartment is perfect. He is so sweet and offers to pick you up from the airport, he also greets you, has all the information you need, and says goodbye when you go. Between his personality and the welcome basket, you feel fully comfortable. We also loved how we could do laundry and the apartment has everything you need to have a comfortable stay. It is a short 20 min walk to ponta delgada center and parking on the road outside the apartment is easy. We would love to come back!

After this apartment it will be difficult for the next ones.
We where in many different countries and places but this place earns a special part in our heart.
What makes it so special is it's owner Hélio.
Before we even have arrived he already gave us a lot of information about the island, restaurants, food, routes to travel, etc in well prepared PDF's (We are from Germany and like this organization :D)
He picked us up from the airport and the apartment was prepared with a bride variety of local food and drinks so that we didn't really had to buy things in the first days.
And if you look around the apartment you really can see that he loves being a host, pictures from the island with QR-Codes with more informations, everything is clean, the kitchen has all the things it takes to cook, he though about nearly every detail.
And if there's any problem with the trip or the apartment he is always there to help.
From day one we felt like home and this apartment and his host made our trip really special.
If we gonna come back to this wonderful island, we hope there's a free space for us.

Future apartments now have a higher expectation to fulfill :D
Depending on the time there is some noticeable traffic, loud motorcycles.
But the bedroom is in the back so it doesn't matter for taking a good rest.

We have never stayed in a perfect accommodation until we stayed here (and we travel a lot!). We received informative travel guides and delicious local treats. The house was incredibly clean, safe, comfortable and quiet. If we get a chance to come back to Sao Miguel, we will happily stay here the entirety of our trip. We hope to come back soon. Thank you for making our trip memorable and enjoyable.

This host has thought of everything! I highly recommend that you book here for an above average stay! Helio is kind, generous, and incredibly helpful. He will help you have an amazing time in Sao Miguel! He can provide itineraries and recommendations for everything on the island. Our family of 4 had a great stay here for 5 nights. The spacious 1-bedroom apartment has a great layout with comfortable beds for 4 people, a very well-stocked kitchen, and a modern bathroom. The air conditioning in the bedroom works perfectly. The kitchen balcony overlooks a busy street (with fast cars!), but beyond that there's greenery and a pleasant view. The washing machine allowed us to conveniently do laundry, with a rack to hang clothes to dry. The welcome basket of food was so thoughtfully provided, everything from bread, jam, cheese, cereal, eggs, yogurt, to juice, milk, wine, and beer. This was a great location to visit so many beautiful places throughout the island, and just 10 minutes from the downtown and the airport. The accommodation is sparkling clean and has so many great perks that you won't find anywhere else, like beach towels and a beach umbrella for shade, a cooler to pack cold drinks, hiking poles, rain umbrellas, and even sponges to wash if you go bathe in the thermal pools on the island. I highly recommend booking here!
Helio is a wonderful and welcoming host. He goes out of his way to ensure that you will have a great holiday. The first night we arrived about 10pm, he waited for us and used his own vehicle to save us a parking spot in front of the accommodation. This accommodation does not have reserved parking and it is on a busy street with traffic travelling at high speeds, so we took a lot of care parking and crossing the street. From here you can drive everywhere, be at a grocery store in 5 minutes or downtown in fewer than 10, just note this is not a walkable neighborhood. Helio himself is what makes it a great location.
