Costa Ionica is a ‘family affair’ with crisp white sheets, spacious design-forward interiors and friendly calm. It resides along a beach road framed by green islands rising from a sparkling sea. A few regiments of wooden Greek beach umbrella’s welcome you, along with a steady breeze.
Step onto the top balcony, the sun rises to your left smoothing the morning sea into a luminous lake. The sun sets to your right, somewhat earlier over the mountains that frame the horizon. At night, small constellation of village lights perch on the islands in the dark. Beneath our window, a spectacular pale green olive tree assigns you the task of shifting your lounger to follow the slowly moving shade by the wide blue pool.
Mytikas is ‘the nose’ on whose tip sits Faros, a small place for sunset and fish. The tables crowd on an old stone terrace just a foot above the lapping waters. Cats are everywhere in Greece. Here they are particularly happy. Kristina, was introduced to us by our fisherman waiter. The grand calico with soft white paws, lounged patiently near us. She approached only once her favorites were presented on our plates. She indicated her preferences by tapping each one of us with her paw and tried to join my husband on his chair - he declined the company.
Mistras on Kalamos is why you travel. Alex kindly arranged for us to be deposited directly in the middle of this deserted paradise beach. Bring your goggles and gently kick the pebbles to see the fish come to your feet to explore uncovered morsels. Framed by an impossibly bright green canopy of sea pine right over the long shore, you might feel like the first people on earth. Go after lunch when the shade is most generous. Walk back in time to the tiny village port to take the ferry back to town. Greet everyone you pass. Greece, the way it was ... it’s here.
This place is wonderful, truly. Nothing to note.

Struttura veramente bella gestita benissimo da Alex e la signora Elena ambienti Eleganti e curati nulla è lasciato al caso con personale disponibile e attento.
