The location and food is very good and the staff were amazing. I had gone for Dalai Lama 90th Birthday Celebration this is 5 mins walk to the temple and was amazing the hotel is uphill but it's amazing.

Very pleasant, friendly and helpful staff. Great view from the balcony. Short walk to the Dalai Lama Temple. Taxi transfer to Amritsar was inexpensive and worked wonderfully. The restaurant has a good selection.
The bathroom could be cleaner. Unfortunately, the bed linen had a few stains. I used my sleeping bag liner.

Amazing views over the mountains and valley behind McLeod Ganj. Good terrace to look over the view.
Although Google maps make it look near to the Dalai Lama Temple, it's actually a steep walk downhill (and, of course, back up!!). Walls in the room are in poor condition, towels and sheets grey, hot water ran out, and so did the water. Needs a lot of maintenance.
