We frequently travel to Bavaria to visit friends and family and to attend the two opera festivals that take place in Bayreuth (the Wagner Bayreuth Festival and the Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival). Over the years we have stayed in many vacation apartments and hotels in or near Bayreuth and this year we discovered the bayreuthome holiday apartments. Not only was it the nicest apartment we have found in the area, it is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed in in our 30+ years of extensive travels around the world. There are many reasons why we found the apartment so amazing.
First, it ticked all the boxes in terms of practical matters. It is perfectly located steps away from the pedestrian area of the old town, and by foot the grocery store is 3 min away, the train station is 12 min, and it is a pleasant 30 min walk to the Festspielhaus (and the hosts even offer complimentary transportation, which was a nice option when it was raining).
Second, the apartment building and the apartment itself were beautiful, quiet, and very comfortable for our recent 10-night stay. The hosts/owners have lovingly and thoughtfully renovated an old, historic building into comfortable, luxury apartments. It is very apparent that they have carefully considered every detail in the renovation and in the design of the apartments. The apartment was beautifully decorated and felt very comfortable, the kitchen was well appointed, allowing us to easily cook and enjoy meals there, and the whirlpool in our apartment was absolutely fabulous and such a nice way to relax after attending the opera. And it was very helpful to have a complete laundry room with a washer, dryer, drying rack, and ironing board. And finally, the apartment was filled with natural light given the many windows which also allowed for excellent air circulation and we loved the view from the windows.

Hier stimmt einfach alles. Der Preis, die Ausstattung und die Lage. Einfache Kontaktaufnahme und schnelles Antworten der Vermieter. Jederzeit wieder.
Eigentlich gar nichts. Lediglich der Lärm der benachbarten Baustelle, wo die Arbeiten gegen 07:00 Uhr begannen, könnte störend sein. Da wir aber eh früh aufstehen mussten, um den Zug nach Hause nicht zu verpassen, viel es nicht so ins Gewicht.

Sehr schöne, geschmackvoll eingerichtete Fewo mitten in der Altstadt, ruhig. Die Wohnung ist gut geschnitten, die Küchenzeile sinnvoll und mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet, schöne natürliche Möbel, angenehme Athmosphäre. Sehr gute, bequeme Matratzen. Das Check-in war unkompliziert, der Kontakt zum Vermieter sehr angenehm, Stefan war hilfsbereit und sehr unterstützend. Besser geht's nicht. Wir werden bestimmt wiederkommen.
Die Wohnung ist im 3. Stock in einem schönen, frisch renovierten Altbau. Es gibt keinen Aufzug, was für uns aber nicht wichtig bzw. notwendig war.
