Very nice location, quite with a really lovely place to sit outside and take in the view. The house was comfortable.
Unfortunately we did break two breakfast bowls during out stay. As it says in the information provided from skye cottages, host understand that accidents do happen and to let them know if they do. I messaged the host to inform her that this had occurred, and that my friend, whose little one had broken the bowls would pay for a replacement. The host replied almost immediately stating that the bowls were very expensive at a cost of £30! The host did this before confirmation of which bowls had been broken (there were two sets at the property) and since we have left the property they have attempted to bill us for 3 broken plates. My friend does not feel that the cost of the replacements are reasonable, and we have asked for proof of purchase. No where did it mention in the information provided by the host that the bowls we were using where so expensive. If we had know we would of used the sainsbury's sets that were also in the cupboard. I think that for a property that states that it is child friendly, the host should make it very clear in future if some items are very precious, as although we did respect the property, with little ones in toe accidents can and will happen, and this whole experience has upset my friend and greatly soured our weekend away.
