I really enjoyed this hotel. It is right in the thick of the city, but I did not hear the party noise from outside. I did have on the loud (in a good white noise kind of way) air conditioner on at night AND the fan on. The bed was huge! Carlo is a great host and took care and of every need. The lock on the hotel and rooms is very secure. Carlo took my suitcase in safe storage while I hiked to Ciudad Perdida, which was very convenient.

Extremely convenient to the local bars and restaurants around El Parque de los Novios. The place is immaculate and Carlo was very, very helpful. Really a beautiful place. I wish I had stayed here from the beginning of my trip to Santa Marta. I would definitely recommend it.

The hotel has only 8 - 10 rooms so it is very quiet.
It's also very well located in the heart of the historic district, with its restaurants, bars, and the bay and it's marina only a 5 minute walk away.
Room was very clean and had excellent air conditioning.
Staff are friendly, and there is a very good breakfast available for only 16,000 pesos.

Note: The hotel does not have a big illuminated sign, and is on a narrow street, so is not easy to see from a taxi.
Also, the front door is closed and locked. You must buzz for entry, after which you are given a key to come and go at will.

101% Satisfied with EVERYTHING this Gem had to offer. If you are looking for a quiet oasis in the middle of bustling downtown - Hotel Boutique La Solera Del Pozo is the place to book in Santa Marta. One won’t be disappointed … Starting from a warm and friendly welcome from Carlos at the front desk to the lovely and colorful kitchen staff that would treat you like you are home. Every room will transport you back in time with a touch of modern (running hot water 🙌). Do go to the rooftop and checkout the lovely decor while sipping on a cold beer or glass of wine while enjoying the lovely hues of red at sunset.
Restaurants, bars, supermarkets, shops, Parque de los Novios, La Bahia, Marina, etc … all within walking distance of this lovely, well kept and run GEM!
