The Alpine Jewel, in awe inspiring breath taking Berchtesgaden with breathtaking views, was not as presented. It was so much more than we expected. We’ve been traveling in Europe for 5 weeks. We stayed here for 8 nights and this has been our favorite place. It should be the gold standard for all Vrbo destinations. This all wood 2 story alpine retreat with full basement and sauna was the perfect balance of authentic old world German charm in every nook and cranny with every modern convenience. We allloved the spaciousness and our granddaughters had much to explore around the property and on long scenic walks up the mountain. We were 20 minutes from the Königssee Ferry which was not to be missed. If we had another day left, we would have gone back a second time. Take your time to hop off the ferry at the first stop. There’s much to enjoy on that stop. Minutes nearby is the scenic panoramic drive where you can climb climb climb up the mountain until you reach the view of Eagle’s Nest across the way. REWE market nearby with a pastry, breakfast and cappuccino station - delizioso. Everything already mentioned., well close with well done Alpine Jewel - very well done!! Thank you

If you’re looking for a peaceful place to stay in the Berchtesgaden area, this delightful home is for you. We were in town for a family memorial, but also wanted to take advantage of the things to do in this gorgeous place. The home was a lovely location to meet with family and a great departure point for hiking and sightseeing. The view is beautiful. Don’t be deterred by the few extra hoops you have to go through to set up payment, the home makes for a fantastic getaway and worth it.

If I could give this home 10 stars, I would! It’s straight out of a movie—absolutely stunning inside and out. The view is breathtaking, the location is ideal with everything just minutes away, and the neighborhood was incredibly quiet and peaceful. Every detail was perfect. Truly an unforgettable stay!
