The location was great, an easy walk to Macrossan St with its cafes and supermarkets, and right by Rex Smeal Park. We had lovely views to the west over the mountains, with sunsets to match. The apartment was a good size and well fitted out, with a laundry, two bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen. It was quiet, everything seemed to work well, and there was plenty of room for kids and sitting down to meals, plus a big couch to lounge on. The air conditioning worked well and was easy to use. The pool was nice for a swim, with some shallower sections that suited kids. It was also easy to get in and out of the apartment directly from the street, without having to navigate a big resort complex.
The apartment was in a poor state of cleanliness when we arrived. There was dust throughout, including the blinds and window sills, and dog hair in the bedroom and on the deck, along with a lot of leaf matter. The floors hadn't been mopped, which left our feet black, and the apartment smelt of dog. When we went to vacuum, the vacuum head was blocked with dog hair and a dog lead. We vacuumed and mopped the floors twice and swept the deck, but there was still dog hair on the navy couch pillows, window sills and blinds. There was also mould in the bathroom grout and silicone, which just needed a good scrub. Given the amount of dog hair and odour, I'd recommend the property not allow guests to stay with pets, as it's very hard to get the apartment properly clean for the next guests otherwise.
The property manager was apologetic and acknowledge the issues we raised, and offered a small discount at the end of our stay. However, he didn't offer to come and see the apartment or arrange a clean to fix the dog hair, which was disappointing. The TVs were also difficult to use, and we couldn't install our own streaming apps. Finally, the ensuite bathroom door swung inwards, which made it hard to reach the toilet and sink, especially for small kids.

Fabulous location behind the main road and a little up the hill. The view each morning and afternoon is spectacular. Great air con and wifi, and plenty of room for a family with teens. Will definitely stay again.
Would love to have fly screens on the windows so we can leave them open and get the nice sea breeze instead of air con when it’s hot.

The privacy for us was a bonus, comfortable, quiet & great views.
In reviews people have mentioned the climb is steep, it sure is if you’re walking straight up Wharf St - as a hint, it’s an easier walk heading up Grant Street and way less steep

Perfectly positioned a short stroll down a fairly steep hill to Macrossan Street.
Assigned very close parking.
Lovely views of town, sea and hills.
Kitchen had everything you could need including salt, pepper, oils, vinegar, lots of ice, and a surprise welcome bottle of bubbles!
Bridget was a total star and looked after us so well. She was just delightful.
The pool was pretty and sunny even on the shortest day and perfect cooling off temperature.
I'd return in a heartbeat.
Wish we could have stayed longer!
