We stayed in the hillside suites. Beautiful rooms with amazing views. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The food in the restaurant was fantastic with local and international choices. Pool area very quiet and relaxed. Lots of options for activities around the islands.

Resort is immediately accessible from the ferry. ( Same company owns hotel and ferry ).The rooms are specious and equipped with all the usual amenities plus an invaluable drinking water dispenser.
Staff were mostly locals from the island and very friendly. Free use of water sports equipment.
Despite what Lonely Planet writes Gili Gede is not an unspoilt paradise with wind blown plastic evéywhere. Hotel is overpriced compared to similar hotels with food and drink prices similar to 5 star hotels in Bali. Our hill top villa had a great view but being 500 metres from the resort was inconvenient. Breakfast was a la carte with a limited number of choices.

Simple to reach from Sanur, Bali. Good launch point for snorkeling. Great view from their beach front villas.
This was our second visit. The fixtures and fittings within the villa need to be refreshed. The food was not as good. Attention to detail has slipped. Overall it doesn't have the 'spark' it used to have.
