What a delightful cottage , the hosts Brendan and Ann are so welcoming and leave a lovely welcome tray with home made treats to enjoy and plenty of information on the area and surrounding areas. The cottage is beautifully decorated and everything you could possibly need while you stay. Perfect location can be a base while you visit the surrounding area or a place to relax and do nothing. Beautiful gardens surrounding the cottage with outdoor seating.

The location was excellent and within easy walking distance of the town and ferry port. Beautiful decor and lovely flowers all around the exterior.

Ann & Brendan were exceptional hosts, it felt like meeting old friends. Ropewalk Cottage is exactly as described, located in the heart of Portaferry. The extra delights such as scones, fresh water, milk and chocolate were very welcome. We can't wait to return.

We could not find fault with anything. Although compact, you have everything you need and are very comfortable.
