Bethesda Mountain Lodge is a real gem for a weekend away from Joburg. The cottage is very comfortable and clean; the nature is beautiful, and the birdlife is wonderful. The cottage is very beautiful with the stained-glass windows, and we appreciated the care the hosts put in.
WE LOVED IT. However, the stairs to the loft are a little scary; I wouldn't suggest them to anyone who has bad knees or is scared of heights, but they're 100% fine for older kids/ young adults.

The unit was absolutly spectacular. It was a big supprise to find this absolute gem of a unit in the middle of Bush. The finishing of the unit is close to spetacular and functional.
We really enjoyed it. Although it is possible to reach the unit with an ordinary vechile, high clearance is important to have peace of mind.

Love that there is nobody bothering us when we visit Bethesda. The natural vegetation, bird life, froggies, fish, and animals scampering around from time to time, is a happy relief to the pressures of city life.
Planes flying over. Not the fault of the farm owners, but definitely a reminder that we are still close to civilisation.
