I'm writing the review I wish I had read before booking!
The most important thing to know is that Hostel on the Hill is not really a hostel. It is much more like a large guesthouse, and I think this should be made clearer to avoid misleading expectations. Simply changing the type of accommodation from “hostel” to “guesthouse” would already make a big difference in managing guests’ expectations.
As far as I could tell, there are around three shared rooms with multiple beds, and guests are assigned beds on a first-come, first-served basis, regardless of the room or bed type they originally booked. You are also sharing the house with the owners, which means using the same bathroom and other common areas.
That said, my stay was not unpleasant. The house is in a beautiful and very quiet location, and it is also very close to the public beach, which definitely made up for some of the other issues. I also found it interesting to share the place with an Albanian retired couple, although they barely speak English (the lady who manages the place has quite a strong personality, but she is welcoming in her own way and genuinely tries to help guests whenever she can).
Overall, I think the main issue is managing expectations. If you book this place expecting a traditional hostel experience, you may be surprised. If you know beforehand that it is more like a shared guesthouse, with the owners living there and room/bed allocation being somewhat flexible, you will probably have a much better experience.
It is true that the property is very close to Filikuri Beach, which is a beautiful spot. However, it is important to mention that the path to access the beach includes a quite dangerous section (!!!) that is not suitable for everyone, and definitely not something to attempt in flip-flops.

Tiene parking si haces noche, sino 300lek.
Buen acceso a la playa 2 min de subida y 10mins hasta la playa.
Habitación de 6, solo ocupada por 3.
Buena vista desde el primer piso, pero pequeña para los 24 que duermen.
Personal amable, a pesar del poco inglés.
Pagar en lek y efectivo, sale mejor.
Es un casa a medio hacer para hostel, el dormitorio de 6 tiene el baño de abajo compartido con residente de la casa. La cocina se cierra en la noche.

Las habitaciones fueron cómodas, la vista desde la colina es increíble y corre un aire maravilloso al atardecer !
La ducha , la cortina se cae y es imposible le que el agua no salga hacia afuera, se vuelve muy incómodo

La vista al llegar arriba es muy linda, y la realidad es que era la única opción accesible que tenía disponible para alquilar en himare reservando con pocos dias de antelación.
Los dueños no hablan ingles y la dueña es bien como una señora estresada que la terminas amando pero no se te ocurra decirle nada
Al llegar tenia un mensaje que me cancelaban la reserva en el dia. Por suerte cuando llegue igual me recibieron y dormi en la cocina - lo cual agradezco porque si tenia que volver a bajar la colina de noche iba a ser un desastre. Sin embargo por esto dormi una noche en un cuarto y otra en otro lo cual, a mi personalmente me re embola que me cambien.
La subida de noche tiene muy poca luz, por lo que pase miedo subiendo sola pero es perfectamente seguro. Y para varios dias subir y bajar varias veces es cansador, pero ellos lo promocionan asi.
