Situated in South Haven, this attractive house for $690 per night is a great option for your next trip. Ideally suited for 8 adults and 4 children, The Beach House is on South Haven's “Golden Mile” offers a welcoming respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Retreat to where time is measured by the tides and the sun. Living Spaces As you walk up the front steps to a covered front porch, you'll feel like you're home already. And it just gets better when you walk inside. While The Beach House offers all of the modern day amenities guests are sure to appreciate, the property was built in 1910. The homeowner revamped this home with a careful eye to details, so Guests will still find much of the charm of yesteryear still remains. In the main common area, a full wall of windows with West exposure offer lake views as far as the eye can see! This area offers two plush sofas, two swivel chairs and large TV. The space also offers a small workstation and newly renovated powder room. The homes "original" living room is a fine example of the early 1900s charm offering original wood floors, a charming fireplace (decorative purposes only) and coffered ceilings. Nearby, you will find the formal dining room with seating for 8. Peak & Non-Peak Season During the peak season, this home would have a 7-night minimum and would rent Friday - Friday. If you are interested in staying a full week in the non-peak season, September through April, please send in an inquiry with your travel dates and we are happy to supply weekly pricing for your trip. Cooking & Dining Who likes to cook? You'll love doing it here! Our fully equipped and outfitted kitchen offers an array of appliances including dishwasher, side-by-side refrigerator and even a stand mixer! There's plenty of storage for all your groceries and a huge center peninsula and trendy pendant lighting. The gorgeous dining table is adjacent to the kitchen and comfortably accommodates 8. Bed & Bath The first floor offers one double bedroom with a private bathroom, perfect for those with difficulty managing stairs. Also located on the first floor is a convenient half bathroom for guests. On the second level are three additional bedrooms. A bedroom with one queen bed and a bedroom with a queen bed and two twin beds(daybed with trundle) share a hallway bathroom. On the other side of the home is a queen bedroom with twin bed, that offers a private (newly renovated) ensuite bathroom. Outdoor Spaces The Beach House is a true example of outdoor living at its finest! The large covered porch offers a serene environment for calm reflection or simple pleasures, while gazing into Lake Michigan. Here, enjoy a conversation seating area as well as an outdoor table for al fresco meals! With the home being perched on a low bluff, there is easy access to 70' of private lake frontage and sugar sand beaches. Enjoy sandcastles by day (some beach toys provided) and the warm glow of a fire by night! The oversized and shaded lawn back up top offers ample room for yard games, and seating with lawn chairs that can be found in the tenant storage.

Lovely home in nice neighborhood and on the lake. The house was as advertised and well maintained. The views are great and the sunset was spectacular. We’re planning on returning with more of our family.

The embrace of century old trees and sound waves crashing on the beach make the house a cozy retreat for my family each fall. The old cottage winds back the clock to a simpler time, while the recent addition and upgrades make it a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the extra space and views of Lake Michigan.

Our group (6 adults, 2 young kids) had a great time during our stay at this property. The house was well appointed and comfortable to lounge in. The beach was clean and maintained. We would recommend this rental and plan to return next summer.

We celebrated our friendship this year with a weekend stay at this classic lake house. Our time was filled with walks on the beach, needlepoint, college football on TV, wine and sunsets on the deck, and playing cards until 1:00 A.M. Good times with great friends!

We had a lovely stay at this home! The house is very clean and comfortable, and the views and access to the beach are great. The house has everything you would need. The primary bedroom with the queen bed is up a different flight of stairs than the other two upstairs bedrooms, so families with kids who will need them in the middle of the night may want to consider this. The stairs in the old part of the house are a bit windy and tricky, but the first floor bedroom and the primary with the queen upstairs are easy to get to. Overall, I would recommend this house, and I hope to stay here again one day!

We spent a long weekend at this home with our two young boys. We loved it. The house itself is charming – the perfect blend of modern comforts and historical character. It is also well stocked with an abundance of beach toys, beach chairs, towels, dishes, pots, etc. The views are amazing. We loved being able to walk a few steps down to the beach each day. Every morning, we had our coffee on the deck while listening to the waves – so relaxing. Our entire family had a great time and can’t wait to return.

Beautiful, comfortable beach house! Everything was spotless and well stocked. We watched sunsets every night from outside deck and inside living room. It was perfect to have our own private beach and the walk to town is about 20-30 minutes!

Fabulous location with panoramic views of Lake Michigan and short 30+ steps to sand! Impressive on-point historic cottage updated and period reflection perfection!! It felt like “home”. Fully stocked kitchen with all essentials and extremely comfortable beds. Absolutely wonderful and great for morning beach walks to the pier or into town. 💛

Seven of us drove over from Chicago and had the best time. It was so nice to stay right on the water with our own private beach. Even though the weather did not always cooperate, we were able to make the best of it with the multiple outdoor areas (both covered and uncovered) in which to sit. Very conducive to groups as all of the bedrooms are fairly separate. Would recommend!

The house was very charming and decorated so well. It was stocked with items that made it feel like home. The furniture was mixed with some vintage that made you feel very old time cottagee with all the modern conveniences. You will not need for anything. The were so many comfy beds available with so many well appointed bathrooms. We look forward to returning some day with more of our friends and or family. We had a ball which made for a lot of great memories.

I surprised my wife with a Birthday trip to this home! We were allowed to check-in early and check out late, which took off a lot of pressure from the start. Everyone on the trip loved the home and the location. It was a great place to celebrate at! Due to it being the offseason, there were some cleanliness issues, but these were quickly taken care of and made right. Overall a great stay!
