The location is great. It’s in a super quiet port town — there’s not much around, but you have everything you need. More importantly, it’s within walking distance of the town beach, which is great. The sea is amazing, despite being right next to the port.
At the port, there’s also a bar, a restaurant and a grocery store, which is very convenient. The beach gets a bit crowded in the afternoon, but it’s still very enjoyable.
The agency and the lady who takes care of the property are both friendly and nice.
Unfortunately, the property was not particularly clean when we arrived. The bedroom fan was very dirty, there were ants everywhere (including inside the cupboards), and the kettlebell, toaster and microwave were also quite dirty. There was mould on the roof of the porch, the shower needed a more thorough cleaning, and there was dirt around the base of the floor-to-ceiling window.
After we complained, they kindly sent the cleaning staff again the following day, which we appreciated. They cleaned better the second time, although some issues are more related to maintenance and would require certain items to be replaced or repaired,(for example, the toaster).
One of the sun loungers was also broken. The neighbours can be quite noisy, although this is probably difficult to avoid given that the properties are attached to each other.
The property also has quite a lot of humidity and the bathroom has no ventilation. There is no air conditioning, as clearly stated in the listing, so we were aware of this before booking. However, in summer the heat can be quite difficult to handle with only fans, particularly because of the humidity.
