This review is from the perspective of a family staying short-term. The penthouse is huge, with plenty of space and private areas. All bedrooms have a shower and toilet, the place is dry, and considering Dominican standards, it's well built. There is an equipped kitchen, a huge fridge with freezer, and a pool table is the jewel of the livingroom. More than enough A/C units and a ceiling fan. Beds are comfy but queen-size only, not suitable for 2 big adults.
First, there is no exact address, and you need to contact a number via WhatsApp. There is a small property management office where you can initiate the check-in process, although it is not specifically mentioned in the booking details. We spent 30min to find the place, while waiting for the callback.
A $100 USD deposit was required, and it turned out that we had to pay for electricity. They charged us ~0,4USD/kWh, which is double the market price. This was not mentioned anywhere in the booking confirmation!!! I'm sure it's against Booking's policy to put additional fees on top of the paid price without prior notification.
Also, you have to be aware that there are several karaoke bars nearby, and we have to listen to "music" until 03:00 AM. As a family, this was very inconvenient, and we could barely sleep. There is NO sound isolation.
