The condo was charming. Loved the beach and the pools.
Was a little taken aback at the sign saying there would be a $15 fee for towels/washcloths that were destroyed. Just seems like that should be part of the cost of doing business.

Communication was good and instructions clear. If you arrive with a vehicle, parking spot 55, level E1 means you need to drive up one level from where you enter the parkade - the ramp up is on the left side once you enter.
Unit is on the 18th floor. Great views! Apt is compact but was perfect for 2 of us. Second bedroom is good for kids but wouldn’t work well for another couple. Coffee maker is a French press and kettle, and there was a bag of coffee on the counter for us when we arrived. Brita filter/jug in the fridge for water. Blender- which we didn’t use so can’t comment on. There were 2 rolls of paper towel and 2 rolls of toilet paper plus dish soap and soap in the bathroom.
The unit provides 4 beach towels, beach chairs, mats, toys, and a small cooler. We only used the beach towels and used the
Loungers in the pool area. We saved the beach for morning walks. It was quite windy in the pool areas- so strongly recommend you bring towel clips or bands to keep your towels secured!
Staff on site at Royal Palm were good. The onsite restaurant and bar was a pleasant surprise- beers were reasonably priced (less than $3 each), cold, and the chicken fingers were excellent. Other residents (short term renters, long term renters and residents) were friendly and welcoming.
The balcony faces southwest and was great for morning coffee. In the afternoon we made sure to keep the blind down to keep the unit cooler. There are 3 separate air conditioning units- one in the living room, one in the main bedroom and another in the kids room (that we didn’t use), and they worked great. We did use the washer and dryer once- worked great- very convenient to have in the unit.
Gym on site is basic but ok- hubby just used the weights.
Dark facecloths for makeup removal is brilliant.
It can be quite windy- and the black sand is very fine so the balcony would get dusty with it. It would be nice if a regular drip coffee machine was added as we never could manage to make good coffee with the press! It would be great if they provided at least one dish towel - as is we just let dishes air dry.

Very clean and nicely decorated. The views from the apartment are wonderful. We used all the amenities like pool, gym, parking, and tennis court. Good value for money. It also feels very safe.
You have to drive like 10min to Coronado, the next town, to access nicer restaurants and supermarkets. Nueva Gorgona town is not very developed and does not have many options to buy food.
