The location was perfect, we traveled with my partner’s elderly mother and wanted her to have an easy walking distance to heart of the city it’s a two min walk to old town so this was the best part. The apartment is pleasant . With a little bit of care from the owner, it could be a much better experience for guests. If you’re a group who just wants to enjoy nightlife and eat out and have a crash pad then this works. If you’re travelling with family and need to cook then it’s not such a good choice. The hot water works and there is a variety of beds to sleep on if you’re not happy with the main bed room.
So the thing that lets it down was the facilities and cleanliness. When we arrived there was a panic to turn on the tv for my mother in laws favourite show. It took 40 mins and a tutorial from the owner to get it on. Very over complicated system. When the dust settled on that, we all started discovering dirt everywhere, old food in the presses that had spilled. Dirty dishes in the dishwasher, towels that didn’t smell quite right. A weird array of cutlery and plates. A dirty frying pan in a drawer. We couldn’t cook with any comfort and felt a bit dirty after showers . Our group was disappointed that very simple things weren’t done well.
