Our stay at Uncle Lou’s Cabin was outstanding. Perched on a hillside overlooking a beautiful stretch of the West Branch of the Delaware, the views alone are worth the trip. Each morning began with coffee on the deck, watching trout rise in the river below while planning the day and dreaming about the fish of a lifetime.The house is exceptionally well-appointed, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Whether cooking, relaxing after a day on the water, or organizing gear for the next outing, every detail has been thoughtfully considered. The owners are attentive, responsive, and available if any questions arise.For fly anglers, the location is hard to beat. The river offers a great mix of riffles, runs, and pools that fish well across a range of conditions and water levels. Whether you’re a seasoned fly fisher or simply looking to experience one of the Northeast’s most iconic trout rivers, you’ll find plenty of opportunities right outside your door.If you’re looking for a comfortable, scenic, and ideally situated base for a Delaware River fishing trip, Uncle Lou’s Cabin delivers. We can’t wait to return.

We loved our honeymoon at Uncle Lou's Cabin! The owners were incredibly helpful, emailing with us to answer all our questions before our stay and then texting to arrange a dinner reservation for us in town when the area's power went out a few minutes after our arrival. We spent a lot of time just relaxing on the deck overlooking the river, where we could see the brown trout swimming. It was so peaceful. We even got to take pictures of the Baltimore Orioles that had a nest in the tree right next to the deck. The cabin itself was so clean, absolutely impeccable! And the amenities were top notch! From eco-friendly toothbrushes to, my favorite, a Breville Barista Touch espresso machine -- which they stocked with espresso beans instead of their normal organic roast, because they knew my preference. What service!!
