Fantastic secluded log cabin, space and surroundings were great for our kids to play in the garden and enjoy the privacy of using the hot tub. Underfloor heating which made the whole experience relaxing and cosy under the stars.The layout of the cabin made it feel huge with plenty of space in the 2 bedrooms.

The lodge is in a great location on the park with a lovely big enclosed garden. The lodge itself is huge! Plenty of room and the comfiest beds. Great hot tub and TV setup.
I hate leaving poor reviews, but hopefully this is more constructive to make improvements. The lodge is looking a little tired and wasn't the cleanest upon arrival. There wasn't a welcome pack which was a shame and the Wi-Fi was very poor. There was a strong rotten egg smell coming from the bathroom, it stank! Definitely a drain issue that needs looking in to.
We booked on Booking.com and paid the full rate as advertised. Then we hadn't been given any check-in instructions on the day of our arrival. We called the number on the booking.com website to be directed to Sykes Cottages. They were far from helpful and insisted that we pay an extra £170 or our booking would be cancelled, even though we'd paid in full already. Gladly, the lodge owner, John called, who was great and very helpful and gave us all the information we needed and the additional amount was not charged, gladly! However, that caused quite a bit of unnecessary stress on our first day of our break. Finally, the hot tub required an additional payment of £80 but this is not advertised anywhere on the Booking.com website. Very poor communication between Sykes Cottages and Booking.com.
