Great location, close to the train station.
Cleanliness:
The apartment was not properly cleaned before our arrival. There were many black hairs in the bathroom.
Communication:
• Parking instructions were missing. I was standing with the car on a narrow street with no parking spaces, waiting for information on how to open the gate. I received the parking confirmation email and even the parking invoice by email, but somehow the gate instructions were missing. The host explained that it must have been the wrong email because “the computer sends it automatically and the computer does not make mistakes”. Interesting, since the other emails arrived without any problem.
• I had to remind the host about the breakfast voucher and the café address, although breakfast was included in the price.
• The forgotten breakfast vouchers were supposed to be left in the key box, but instead the host entered the apartment while we were away without any prior notice.
• The voucher promised a brioche or focaccia, but we received only a sad croissant in a café rated 2.7 on Google. After I complained, the situation was fixed the next day, but the host still did not see any problem and acted as if the issue was that I expected to receive what I paid for.
Overall, almost everything you pay for requires a reminder because things are forgotten or mistakes happen. Unfortunately, instead of taking responsibility, the blame is shifted to the guest.
A nice apartment is not enough. Good communication and basic professionalism matter too.
