£500 Deposit is Worrisome

The accommodation was decent, spacious living hall with attached kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom that was good for our stay there.

The extra £250 deposit (outside of room rent) was authorised as requested and manager informed that it wouldn't be deducted from our account, only authorised in case of any damage. Now I see in my bank statement that there are two deductions of £250, total of £500 from my account and the property manager is not responding to any messages from last 3 days. The one leg of sofa was broken when we arrived. Fan and AC wasn't working, few more damages that we informed with pictures to the manager and they acknowledged this on WhatsApp.
