Silversands Beach House Grenada - Adults Only

The property is STUNNING and unique and charming. Having the rooms built individually on the cliff is amazing, and because there are only 28 rooms, the property felt extremely private. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and attentive. The restaurant, pool, property ... just gorgeous.

The bed was extremely firm, and the pillows were extremely fluffy and flattened easily. We both had back aches after a couple of nights. Breakfast was great, mostly because it was included. And the selection was nice. But lunch and dinner selections felt limited ... and I realize the restaurant is Italian-leaning, but it seemed less vacation or maybe I should say island-oriented the way you'd expect on an island vacation. The other property had a better lunch selection. Water was $10 a bottle at dinner ... we were not expecting this and were surprised on day one dinner. Dinner service was extremely slow ... so slow that after an hound a half at pasta night, we just had to leave. I couldn't sit any longer. And the restaurant was very expensive. We didn't feel well one night, so we just ordered yogurt and fruit to bring to the room. Two yogurts with granola, fruit, and one sorbet. It was abut $80 ... I was like, "what did we just get?" If I were in charge of improvements, I'd change the bath products to be a wonder-smelling local (or Caribbean) brand that has something like cocoa-butter that would reflect the special feeling the resort has. Something that would make you feel like wow, I am really here.

We really enjoyed the Beach House even though it is located outside the main town. We found the beach lovely and didn’t mind that the water wasn’t perfectly calm. We checked out other nearby beaches and restaurants while at the Beach House and appreciated that many of those areas didn’t require navigating much traffic. The staff was really nice and accommodating, also. We found that staying at the Beach House and then Silversands’ sister property on Grand Anse to be a great combination that provided a different feel as well as different local options. We were really surprised at how much we loved Grenada - it has many hidden charms!
