Breathe in and relax. The perfect antidote to city life for couples or families, just a 2.5-hour drive from Bangkok. To check into this villa is to check out of the humdrum of everyday life. Spacious and open, yet surrounded by trees, birdlife is abundant, and the dawn chorus is exhilarating. Sundowners and BBQs on the beach are a real treat. A dip in the private swimming pool is the perfect way to cool down after a morning on the beach.
Local restaurants and bars in Laem Mae Phim are great fun, including Italian, Swiss, Swedish, and, of course, delicious Thai seafood. And for those in need of a real beach-bar vibe, head to the Drift Bar in Ao Kai; it's just 10 minutes away by car.
If you wish to cook or entertain, there's a lovely wooden banqueting table and bar on the terrace. A large fridge-freezer and a fully stocked kitchen with plenty of cutlery, crockery, and glassware will help ensure your meals are divine.
The lovely housekeeper, Khun Na, will make sure your stay is supremely comfortable (she doesn't speak English, but knows how to look after guests of all nationalities). The villa has recently been extensively upgraded and renovated, and everything works - but remember you are in the tropics and some way from a big city, so expect a light bulb to give up from time to time!
