About this cottage rental
Located at the Old Rag Mountain hike and Shenandoah National Park our circa 1794 cottage is the perfect home base to enjoy nearby hikes, wineries, and breweries.
The Cottage is the original farmhouse built in 1794 when the farm was founded .We are located on the Hughes river ( native trout fishing) at the foot of Old Rag Mountain only two minutes from the parking lot @ Old Rag. Access to White Oak Canyon and Shenandoah National Park are only minutes away. We are also a working vineyard and winery with our tasting room open Friday thru Sundays and by appointment.

This was my first trip to Shenandoah National Park and the cottage was very close to Old Rag and Whiteoak Canyon. My friend and I appreciated how Jimm came out to greet us when we first arrived. He was also very easy to communicate with throughout the trip. We really enjoyed wine tasting and listening to the birds at the cottage. It was nice to learn about the history of the cottage and the area. Thank you for a great time!

Had a great time staying at Sharp Rock Winery. Perfect location for climbing Old Rag and beautiful scenery. The hosts were welcoming and the wine was a bonus.

This place provided exactly what we needed in order to hike the 9 mile loop trail at Old Rag Mountain. Only a few miles down the road. Jimm was an excellent host and provided a lot of good information for the area. We loved being by the creek!
