Beautiful property in rural part of town
It is far from everything. Restaurant distance is not walkable. Owner will taxi you to a local, very good, restaurant for $20.

Casa Alexandre is in a beautiful hillside location, with stunning views, next to a dairy farm, just off the Camino. Alexandre is the most gracious host. He allowed us to do our laundry. He took us to a local restaurant Alta Maria, for dinner (€20 return), which was excellent. You can buy beer (€2 with crisps or nuts), wine, soft drinks. Complimentary water on arrival. There are sun loungers on a terrace and lots of outside furniture to relax on. You can buy breakfast for €14pp. Very clean, including the shared bathroom which had a wonderful powerful shower. I recommend and would stay here again. Thank you for your kindness Alexandre.
When we stayed, it was very hot (34 degrees). There was no fan in the room and due to the countryside location, you can only sleep with the window open if you bring earplugs; the neighbourhood dogs are outside barking all night, and Alexandre's rooster wakes up before sunrise. There are only a couple of restaurants in Balugaes and no shops for groceries or supplies. There are no cooking facilities, or kettle/coffee.

Fica a 500 metros do caminho. Está em uma área rural bem tranquila. O quarto é bem novinho. Conseguimos lavar as roupas e secar na varanda com tranquilidade. Ah! Adoramos a garrafa de água gelada no check-in e ainda tinha um frigobar no quarto!
As vacas ao redor fazem um pouco de barulho à noite, mas isso não me incomodou. Não tem comércio por perto, mas o proprietário nos levou até um restaurante, cobrando uma taxa pelo transporte.

Não gostei do quarto Não ter ar condicionado com uma temperatura 35 graus e de ser acordado às 3 da manhã com os animais o resto tudo bem
