We wanted to avoid the hysterically overpriced and overrated accommodation offers near Lake Como and opted for this basic apartment in Piano Rancio, a quiet and secluded settlement in the mountains above Bellagio (the drive to Bellagio takes approximately 25 min).
We never met the kind proprietors, but communicated swiftly with them via WhatsApp (in Italian).
If you plan to drive from Bergamo or Milan: buy groceries before the trip, since there are few stores around Piano Rancio.
Parking is free and ample in the fenced-in area by the building.
The balcony overlooks a forest, with hills in the background. It's incredibly peaceful.
The WiFi in the apartment works well.
Strangely, there are no towel racks or hooks in the spacious bathroom. We had to hang our towels on various chairs.
The fridge in the kitchen gives off a loud buzzing noise, which can be muted by closing the bedroom door.
The large bed in the bedroom probably needs a mattress upgrade.

Molto accogliente e funzionale immersa nel verde con un bellissimo balconcino vista bosco.Comprensiva di tutto l'occorrente per una breve vacanza
Forse si dovrebbero aggiungere delle zanzariere essendo immersa bel bosco anche se devo ammettere che c'erano pochissimi insetti e pochissime zanzare.La camera da letto un po scura.Struttura un pò isolata e senza linea di cellulari ma coperta in ogni punto da wifi
