Emerald Luxe Suites

The manager during our stay was an absolute hero. He dealt with a number of issues which are common in the island (e.g. power cuts, staff shortages) quickly and professionally. He was always checking in with us, gave excellent island recommendations and it felt like nothing was too much trouble and we were convinced if we'd had any problems he would have not stopped until they were fixed. They offer onsite moped rental and can arrange a taxis within minutes. They also provide free pick up from dock on arrival from Little Cron. The room was large and comfortable. The bed was huge, there was hot water in the shower (not a guarantee across Nicaragua, never mind on a remote island) and the aircon was consistent. The garden was a lovely spot to relax in. A good breakfast was included and there was an extensive evening menu at the attached restaurant.

In the low season a number of the surrounding restaurants and cafes were closed, therefore we felt a little trapped by the expensive prices at the restaurant. Staff emergencies meant we missed one breakfast and one night the restaurant was closed which could have lead to us being stranded if we didn't already have different plans on those days. The messages pre our arrival stated they accepted Paypal payment, however this wasn't the case on arrival therefore we ended up using much more of our spending cash than we would have liked. Thankfully places on the island did accept card so this didn't become a problem but the check-in information does need updating so guests can be prepared. The pool is much smaller and scruffier than the booking.com images show. The garden could do with a couple more loungers so everyone can have a seat.

L établissement est en construction, donc il reste des détails à faire. Mais le rapport qualité prix de la chambre donnant côté jardin est correct.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, the room was large and comfortable with nice pillows and a good mattress.
