The location is definitely the best thing. I felt comfortable here in the hotel and the area as a solo mum traveller with a disabled child. Excellent value for money. Our room was on top floor but there's a lift. Despite a shared bathroom this was well stocked, clean and smelt nice. The bonus of a shared kitchen was great for eating in and storing items in the fridge freezer. We were on top floor but there was a lift.
The only negative I would say is the shared bathroom needs a better lock inside of a small latch. My son and I were washing and despite the shower being on they still came in. I said no and they quickly closed it. The latch could easily be taken off. The bathroom is clean and smells lovely but it's just the lock needs to be better for safety and privacy reasons. This wouldn't put me off returning though. It's a wonderful hotel and had a warm homely feeling.

The host is a lovely guy who made sure to meet me to hand over the keys. Great room in a sort of quasi-apartment. Very spacious and the bed was more comfortable than many of the hostels I've slept on as of late. Good AC. Smart TV. I know a lot of other reviewers are highlighting the sharing of the bathroom; at the price paid, I think that's a bit much to expect and in any case, I never had an issue. Albeit, I was there for only a night and I know other rooms actually had families in.
The area around was not the best. That is no fault of the owner, but the main street from the station that I imagine most will come down after getting in from Venice (Via Piave) had some groups hanging around at night that one should be wary of. I think that may just be around the station in general as other reviewers on properties in Mestre had mentioned similar. The property itself though was great.

El apartamento es muy organizado y, a pesar de que algunos espacios se comparten, siempre estuvieron muy limpios y agradables. Está muy bien localizado, muy cerca del centro de Mestre y a 50m de la parada del bus que te lleva directo a Venecia. La atención fue increíble, inclusive nos permitieron dejar nuestro equipaje después del check-out. No hablamos inglés ni italiano, y el anfitrión se esforzó por hacernos recomendaciones y resolver nuestras dudas.

The host and cleaning staff was really nice. The flat is really well located, 2min from bus stop that leads directly to Venice. Room was big.
We heard a lot of noise from other appartments around. Kitchen was not really clean / convenient. Shared bathroom was not always clean.
