Disappointing

The plusses are: kind host, parking in front, relatively large rooms, windows blinds that block out sunlight in the morning, but that’s really it… We would not recommend this place based on our overall experience (bit disappointed)

Overall the apartment was not clean and poorly maintained. Everything breathes cheap or easy fix. - Doors don’t close (including bath- en bedroom) - Airco makes a lot of noise - Furniture is old and not comfortable. Kitchen - Some of the utensils are rusting, you have to wash everything before use, with a sponge that… - … had many hairs in it (not very nice to have to wash your dishes with other people’s hair...) - No decent trash bin (just a small open basket) - Not very easy to cook even simple food here Bedroom - Stained bedlinnen, and poorly made up bed (after the first couple of hours the “under layer sheets” are gone and you are laying on the old matras) - Very old and bad mattresses (you can feel the springs) Bathroom - Shower head doesn’t stay in one place (system is old and worn out) - Shower, sink and cabinet weren’t properly cleaned (seems just some superficial cleaning “for the eye”) (Added photos give an impression of overall state) Our previous two appartments in Croatia were superclean and comfortable, so it is really possible to do it much better than this.

Our stay at Apartments Irena was lovely. The apartment was very clean and nice. Both bedrooms come with a nice view and the front terrace is a good place to relax. Allthough the apartment is right on the street, it was extremely relaxing to stay there and the traffic was really low to almost non existant. The location is great for both relaxing and exploring the island, the beach in Bozava is easily accessible by foot within 5, 10 minutes and offers great pine tree shade during the day. Lastly, the host was great - he greeted us at arrival and helped us out with advice on where to go. When our car broke down on the way to the ferry (after checkout) he was extremely helpful and has drove 10 km just to help us start the car again. Thanks for everything! I can only wholeheartedly recommend this place :)

We had a lovely time here. Everything was clean and confortable as shown in the pictures. The host is very friendly and he helped us in many ways like offering indications for places to visit and having our luggage stored after check out. We were sad we didn't have more time to stay a few days more.

We just loved the apartment. Two rooms with king size bed and great bathroom. Host is very friendly, we felt like at home. Its perfect for two couples or family. Thank you again!

good for a short stay

The owner came to pick us up when he didn’t have to, we really apreciaste it. He also gave us good advice about the area. The garden is nice

No amenities at all (shampoo, soap, oil to cook, coffee, lighter for the bbq, etc), bed uncomfortable, the kitchen is fine for a short stay but not for long stays.

Good place for a short stay

Location is very good, five minutes walking from the center and restaurants. The host is also a very nice.

AC was leaking water constantly. Acoustic isolation isn’t good as well, you can hear everything from the upstairs apartment.

Very cozy and clean apartment with great host that can you tell you the whole story of the island.

The apartment was very clean. More clean and neat than I'm used to. It had everything you need and is located right halfway between the Veli Rat and ferry which makes it perfect if you visit that part of the Island. The owner Veljko was amazing we shared some stories before I left and he told me everything about the island and the life there. I will return there for sure. Btw wifi is fast and reliable and you have parking just in front of the door.

Discovering a beautiful island with a comfy quiet house to rest

Velko is a great host! We were 3 friends traveling and we arrived by boat. Velko quickly met us by the port in his motorcycle and helped us carry the bags to the house (even though it already is really close to de harbour, which is incredible!). He was really nice, gave us a map and told us where to go! With his advice, we rented some bikes and did a tour of the island, which was the most amazing experience and we found the best secret beaches. The appartment is very comfortable and clean, the rooms and bed spacious. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and Velko even brought us some delicious figs! The ambiance was quiet and just what we needed to relax from the city. Good wi-fi too. We would definitely recommend this!! Also, it isn't expensive at all! :)

The host was very friendly. He gave us some fresh figs, the best I have eaten for a long time. The location is good, 3 min from the bus stop, and a few minutes to the habour and the beach.

Cleaness could be improved.

The mattress of our bed was not very comfortable to sleep a hole week on it.

Great stay

We would like to recommend this appartment as the location is amazing. It's not far from the beach(less than 10min). The host is friendly and helpful! Good for relaxing and a great escape from the the noisy cities.
