The room was clean & a good size, with a minibar to keep our things cool. It was right on the Elbe Cycleway so handy for cyclists with good overnight bike storage in a groundfloor room.
Communication with this hotel was terrible. Prior to our arrival they sent automated messages, but did not respond to specific requests. When we arrived for a 3pm check-in (having repeatedly requested an early check-in) our key was still not in the place described. We rang the specified number, but only got an answer-phone, no person. We could not contact the owner, nor get any information about why our key was not available or what time we could get into our room. Fortunately some neighbours managed to track down an embarrassed staff member and eventually we did get our key but not until we had waited 40 minutes outside!! We received no apology from the owner, nor offer of any compensation. We were very unhappy and would not recommend this establishment if any other hotel in the vicinity had space.
