Disappointing stay

Nothing

I’ll start by saying that I have never given a negative review before- I’ve always given the benefit of the doubt for accommodation that didn’t come up to scratch. However in this case I need to let future guests know what to expect. Describing this place as a dream house is laughable - maybe it was many years ago but now the house is tired and dirty. The whole house needs a complete redecoration, carpets need replacing and it requires a deep clean. The walls are scuffed and dirty. The carpets are stained and we were not comfortable walking barefoot! The bathrooms have black mould and rusty bars. Generally the whole place is filthy. We were planning to cook in some evenings but this wasn’t an option in such an unhygienic environment. Add to this : Tumble dryer didn’t work Iron plug was cracked and dangerous Mattresses were cheap and uncomfortable Door handles were loose or just fell off This house is grossly overpriced (950€ per night) - my advice to anyone considering staying there — is don’t.

Der Auszug nachdem wir eine adequate Unterkunft finden konnten

1/10 – Unser Urlaub war nach zwei Tagen beendet – wir können nur eindringlich warnen Wir haben diese Unterkunft aufgrund der Beschreibung und der Fotos gebucht und dafür 4.975,76 € für acht Nächte bezahlt. Bei diesem Preis erwartet man eine saubere, gepflegte und hochwertige Unterkunft. Leider wurden wir in nahezu jeder Hinsicht enttäuscht. Bereits bei unserer Ankunft stellten wir zahlreiche Mängel fest, die wir sofort mit Fotos und Videos dokumentierten. Die Unterkunft machte auf uns keineswegs den Eindruck eines modernen Neubaus. Stattdessen fanden wir erhebliche Hygienemängel und einen insgesamt stark abgewohnten Zustand vor. Unter anderem waren mehrere Küchengeräte und Küchenutensilien verschmutzt, Schränke und Oberflächen nicht ordnungsgemäß gereinigt, der Backofen, die Dunstabzugshaube, der Toaster sowie weitere Geräte waren verschmutzt. Im Badezimmer befanden sich deutliche schwarze Verfärbungen an den Silikonfugen. Außerdem gab es Wasser- und Gebrauchsschäden, verschmutzte Teppiche sowie zahlreiche weitere Mängel, die wir vollständig dokumentiert haben. Der schwerwiegendste Mangel waren jedoch die Matratzen. Bereits nach zwei Nächten hatten mehrere Personen unserer Reisegruppe erhebliche Rückenschmerzen. Die Metallfedern waren sogar mit leichtem Druck durch den Bezug deutlich spürbar. Solche Matratzen gehören nach unserer Auffassung ausgetauscht und sind einer Unterkunft dieser Preisklasse nicht angemessen. Wir haben den Gastgeber unmittelbar informiert und alle Mängel dokumentiert. Statt Verantwortung für den Gesamtzustand der Unterkunft zu übernehmen, wurden unsere Beanstandungen weitgehend zurückgewiesen. Die angebotene Reinigung hätte die grundlegenden Probleme – insbesondere die mangelhaften Matratzen und den allgemeinen Zustand der Unterkunft – nicht beseitigt. Die Situation belastete unseren Urlaub so sehr, dass wir uns entschlossen haben, unseren Urlaub vorzeitig abzubrechen und eine andere Unterkunft zu suchen.

Fantastisch verblijf voor grote groep

Het huis is fantastisch voor een grote groep. Wij waren met 9 vrienden en het huis was echt perfect voor ons: Grote slaapkamers, genoeg badkamers en wc's, living en eetkamer groot genoeg. De bedden waren comfortabel en alles was heel proper. De ligging is ook heel handig: een korte taxirit brengt je naar de luchthaven en Dublin centrum.
