We had a really lovely stay at Margarita’s Retreat Villa. The house is beautiful, very comfortable and the view is simply amazing. You can see the sea, Souda Bay and the mountains, and we never got tired of sitting outside and looking at it.
The villa is also exceptionally well equipped. Honestly, we didn’t miss anything during our stay. There were plenty of towels, beach towels, pool inflatables and lots of useful little things that you don’t always expect to find in a holiday house. Even things like mesh covers for plates and food to keep the wasps and insects away, and a well-equipped first-aid kit. It really felt like the owners had thought of everything guests might need.
And the cleanliness deserves a special mention. The villa was spotlessly clean – honestly, so clean that you could eat off the floor! Everything was fresh, tidy and perfectly prepared for our arrival. I am quite picky about cleanliness, and I was genuinely impressed. It’s rare to find a holiday house that is this clean.
The villa is in a very peaceful location, which we really appreciated. It’s a great place if you want to relax, have some privacy and enjoy a quieter side of Crete.
Margarita was very kind and helpful and communication with her was easy. We felt very welcome from the beginning.
We had a wonderful time here and would definitely come back. It’s one of those places where you feel comfortable almost immediately and are genuinely sad when it’s time to leave. Highly recommended!

The villa was everything we could wish for and more. The outside space was so spacious and comfortable with the most amazing views and inside was just as comfortable with plenty of space for a family of four.

Perfect villa for a family! Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Safe for young ones as the internal door through to the pool has a high lock to ensure kids can't get outside. Great size of pool and perfect kids pool section. Panoramic views which are spectacular!
The only real negative is the location (which is also a plus due to the views!) You need a car to stay here as even the local village isn't easily walkable. The local taverna does deliver food at no additional cost which is useful.

Die Villa ist sehr gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet. Sie liegt etwas oberhalb des Ortes in völliger Ruhe. Die Ausstattung ist super. Es fehlt hier wirklich an nichts. Der Kühlschrank war bei unserer Ankunft üppig bestückt mit Getränken und im Küchenschrank gab es jede Menge Knabbereien. Das Highlight ist natürlich der Außenbereich mit Pool, gemütlichen Liegestühlen, Schaukel, Sofa und einem gigantischen Blick über die Bucht von Souda. Einfach traumhaft! Da die Villa etwas abseits liegt, braucht man aber auf jeden Fall ein Auto. Für die Ruhe und die wunderschöne Aussicht nimmt man das aber gerne in Kauf.
