Clean modern and great location

It was clean, nicely presented, the room was like the advert (the photos are accurate)and it had AC. We stayed in a twin room (2single beds) there was enough space in the room and a decent sized wardrobe.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
We were able to leave our luggage in the office both before we checked in and after we checked out.
Good kitchenette area, oven with grill, microwave, kettle and toaster plus a hob (2rings) and a full sized sink.
Some cutlery and crockery but not a full set for 2.
There were some tea bags, coffee and sugar which was a bonus as I’d forgotten mine and didn’t want to buy a whole box from the shop just for 2 days.
All in all a good stay, really close to the tube, clean and useful to be able to cook rather than having to pay to eat out all the time.
The shower cubicle is tiny, I am a plus size girl but don’t usually have trouble with hotel showers but this was squeeze in through the tiny gap the doors left and could only stand upright, barely enough room to turn around.
The mattresses were a little thin and I didn’t see a mattress protector sheet.
The wardrobe could do with having doors on so when you cook your clothes don’t smell of the cooking (or keep them in your suitcase.
These are just little niggles which if sorted would make it a definite stay for every London trip and take the accommodation up a level.
The area is run down and there are sometimes some questionable things going on in the vicinity (people taking hard drugs etc in the daytime) but it’s Finsbury Park which is sort of known for being a bit rough in places.
Nobody bothered us at all, just for some people it may be a bit too much.
